Cream of brown rice is great too. Roast rice in dry skillet then grind in coffee mill when cool. Add ground rice to water in sauce pan and cook until done. Flavor and season as desired.

I made a version of this last January when I was staying over at a friend’s place and she told me to help myself to some breakfast. All she had was sugary cereal and instant oatmeal, but I spotted some brown basmati rice. cooked it up in water. added a little soymilk at the end, then topped with banana and cinnamon. Delicious. Simple. Real food!
