mexi-coke

i don’t often drink soda, mainly because most of them are made with high-fructose corn syrup.  besides being genetically modified, HFCS is probably the most processed of all sugars.  along with hydrogenated oils, it’s among the worst things you can put in your body.

but i do sometimes crave soda. and when i do i can walk down the street to my neighborhood market and pick up a mexi-coke.  made in mexico, it uses cane sugar rather than HFCS, which results in a significantly better tasting soda.

several smaller markets, local bodegas and mexican supermarkets carry the stuff, and even some restaurants like pure luck.  check it out and taste the difference for yourself.
